課程概述 |
This course focuses on writing in an academic context. Students will use different rhetorical modes and culminate in 1000-word short essays on various subjects. Non-academic writing such as journalism and film script will be discussed this semester.
The class takes the form of a workshop where students learn to analyze other writers’ writings individually or in groups. Therefore, attendance is essential.
|
課程目標 |
By the end of the semester, students should be able to:
demonstrate the phases of writing (i.e., drafting, revising, editing, and crafting);
demonstrate the ability to write in various rhetorical modes;
critique others’ papers with critical thinking;
explore new sources of writing besides reading, thinking, analyzing, and discussions.
